USA Halloween Origami Bat Craft

Is there anything more spooky at Halloween than a bat?  Have fun making your own spooky bats with our easy origami bat craft!  Hang them all over your house to make it extra scary for Halloween.

    • Supplies Needed

    • Black construction paper, cut into a square
    • Scissors
    • Decorations – chalk, paint or other decorations that will show on black
    • Optional – googly eyes
    • String or yarn for hanging

    Preparation

    1. Fold construction paper in half, corner to corner to make a triangle
    2. Suggested colors – orange and black 
    3. Fold the creased edge of the triangle down, about two inches
    4. Fold over each side to make your wings dimensional
    5. Cut ears from the flat top of the shape
    6. Fold the body in half
    7. Decorate, and hang!
